I have lived in very dangerous and transit places like Florida, where you'd expect officers to lack empathy and discretion. I was unpleasantly surprised that the worst treatment from an officer would be from my hometown of Ipswich when I saw blues last night while getting out of my car to go out to dinner. I had done nothing wrong and was very confused on why i was being stopped, especially because i was parked. Officer Moore, loudly yelled ' Your registration is expired and your not insured.' at me. Standing there still confused I pulled out my registration and started bringing up my insurance policy on my phone to show him. I am in the process of taking over my finances grandmothers lease and have taken all the steps I've been told to be covered by insurance so nothing like this would happen. Turns out there was a miscommunication with my insurance company and the RMV because even though i had all the proof that i was insured, it still wasn't showing that way to the state. Crappy situation and no fault of my own. The officer did not cut me a break at all and towed my car even though legally it would have been legal for him to let me have AAA tow it to my house until and not drive it until this situation was taken care of. So i am going to have to pay almost a few hundred at best to get it out of the pound and cannot do that until Monday, hopefully if things are sorted out by then. This is an example of why people have lost faith in the police force. Instead of dealing with the undeniable heroin problem in Ipswich thats killing a whole generation they are doing acts like this to innocent law-abiding citizens. Its just not right. Police are lacking so many morals these days and its sad.
