I have been staying at the Kaede B&B in Ipswich at least once a year for the last five years now and it really just gets better. When the company asks where I want to stay, this is my choice.
Where else can you get a Japanese breakfast at the crack of dawn!? This place is the MOST affordable and convenient Godsend of a Bed and Breakfast I've ever stayed at. Clean, well preserved in the heart of America's most Historic town. This 1845 home will surely supersede your expectations. your search is over.
Great place, walk to the lovely town of Ipswich, enjoy the Riverwalk.
The Kaede has individually appointed rooms and I have yet to stay in one that I don't like. I am particular fond of the Maple and Oak Rooms. Pictures attached to this post show the Oak Room, which is a suite on the first floor.
The hosts are the key to success, they are super friendly and make you feel truly welcome. They are good people, running a good business!
The Scenic Byway is in easy reach for touring.
Breakfast is another highlight, cooked to order and if you have a special request - like smaller portions, you'll get that too. There is always fresh fruit, plenty of coffee and/or tea and a smile! If you stay several days, try the Japanese Breakfast!

I have never spent the night there, since I live in Ipswich, but we always have family stay at Kaede when they come to town. It's a beautiful house with wonderful owners.
